31 Days of Halloween: Day 27 All About the Witches

Hi there- happy Sunday!  Before we get to the 31 Days stuff, I have to share some awesome news with you all.  My son Trev has enlisted in the Navy - he leaves for basic training on February 25.  I am SO stinkin' proud of him - he chose Culinary Specialist for his career, too, so I don't have to be as much of a nervous wreck as if he had chosen Special Ops (which he considered briefly).  Thanks for sharing in my joy!  :)

31 Days of Halloween: Day 24 (Digi Stamp Boutique & Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps)

Hello my friends!  Welcome to Day 24 of the 31 Days of Halloween!  You should have arrived here from Shoni's blog - if you need to go back and start at the beginning, the blog roll is posted over here on my sidebar-------------------------------->

Today's creation is for the following challenges:

Digi Stamp Boutique: October Competition
Kaboodle Doodles: Halloween Colors
The Pink Elephant: Trick or Treat

Pile it On: Halloween/Day of the Dead/Cute & Creepy

I used Halloween Hattie from Digi Stamp Boutique, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Paper & cardstock sticker embellishments are from Authentique, clear text & spider stickers are from SRM Stickers.

And I have one more card today- this one is for my Design Team spot at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge: Halloween
Victorine Stamps Challenge: Let's Get Spooky

I used KK0039 Scary Tree and EE168 Brewing a Batch - I stamped the tree once directly on the card front, then again onto that cool eye-themed DP, and the best part was that I did not line up those eyes - they just lined up perfectly where the trees eyes actually were... too cool, no?  :)  Then I stamped the kitty onto the tree branch, stamped the sentiment at the top of the card, and inked the edges of the whole thing.  Pretty CAS but I like the way it came out!  :)

Your next stop on the hop is DominoART.  Have fun hopping!
Peace.

31 Days of Halloween: Day 22 (My Favorite Things & Authentique)

Hi again - can you believe it's Day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween?!? You should have arrived here from Shoni's blog - if you need to go back and start at the beginning, the blog roll is posted over here on my sidebar-------------------------------->

Today's card is for the following challenges (thankfully there are lots of Halloween-themed challenges this month! LOL):

Artistic Inspirations: Anything Goes
Cards for Men: Halloween (manly)

Creative Creations: Halloween
Lexi's Creations: Halloween
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner: Spooky

So there was no stamping involved with this creation - which is weird, because I almost always use digi or rubber stamps.  But here's how I made this - I cut the Authentique DP to 5.5 square inches, and inked the edges with black ink.  I used my Spider Web die from My Favorite Things Die-namics and attached it to the DP, then filled it with Crackle Accents.  I added the little spider with foam pop-up dots and a diamond sticker for the center of the web.  The sentiment is a coordinating cardstock sticker from Authentique.

Your next stop on the hop is DominoART.  Have fun hopping!
*****************************************
So I wanted to update my friends that we found a house to rent in Massachusetts!  Jeremy will be driving Cass and I back around the end of November (or possibly I'll fly and meet them there) - then he plans to drive back to California with his dad, who is buying an RV and wants to travel around the country for a while.  So that would be really nice, if his dad stayed here and spent Christmas and New Year's with Jeremy & Trev.  So things are moving along and we're all optimistic about the future.  Trev is working with the Navy recruiter and has to touch base with him today, as a matter of fact.  That will be the icing on the cake - I can't even tell you how happy it will make me to see Trev moving on and becoming an adult.  Keep your fingers crossed for him.  :)  Peace.

31 Days of Halloween: Day 17 (Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps & Tiddly Inks)

Helloooooo!  Welcome to Day 17 of the 31 Days of Halloween!  You should have arrived here from Shoni's blog - if you need to go back and start at the beginning, the blog roll is posted over here on my sidebar-------------------------------->

My first project today is an ATC I made for my DT spot at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps:

Crafting by Designs: Anything Goes

Little Red Wagon: Mini-mize Me
 Animal Friends Challenge: Halloween

I used EE0166 Retread, and just paired him with my paper & cardstock embellies from Authentique to create this simple little ATC.

My next project is a card I made for the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks Challenge: Creepy Cute
Crafting for All Seasons: Too Cute to Spook
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge: Anything Goes

I made all of my Halloween projects before October even started so I could pretty much take the month off - but I couldn't resist playing along with the Tiddly Inks challenge, I just love those images.  I used Batty for You, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Paper & sticker letters are from Authentique.

31 Days of Halloween: Day 16 (Wicked Wednesday ATC/Stitchy Bear Stamps)

Helloooooo!  Welcome to Day 16 of the 31 Days of Halloween!  You should have arrived here from Shoni's blog - if you need to go back and start at the beginning, the blog roll is posted over here on my sidebar------------------------------->

So today I have a little ATC for our new challenge at:

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge: Get Goth!

Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps, and this image is called Skull Diva from BBKakes.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and Prismacolor markers.  I used some spritzes & sprays to create the background, after running my ATC base through a spiderweb embossing folder.  Text is some cardstock stickers from Authentique.  Skull stamp in corner is from Bombshell Stamps.

I'd like to enter this ATC into the following challenges:

Der Challegenblog vom Kreativeinkauf: Halloween
Sparkles Monthly Challenge: Halloween
The Cupboard Trilogy: Halloween
Top Tip Tuesday: Black and White with a Splash of Color

Here's my TIP for today:  Don't waste your money on those packages of ATC bases, make your own for free using scraps!  I use all kinds of trash to create my ATC bases - such as the empty boxes that my adhesive comes in (or cracker/cereal boxes, etc.) and the sturdy back page from my paper pads.  Sometimes when you buy paper or something "floppy" the manufacturer will put a sturdy piece of cardstock in the package to keep it rigid - these types of things work great for this.  All I do is mark them up with the proper dimensions (3.5 x 2.5 inches) and cut them using my paper trimmer and I end up with a ready-made pile of ATC bases.  If the cardstock has a pattern or writing on it, I just cover it up using designer paper or Gesso (primer)/paint.

Your next stop on the hop is DominoART.  Have fun hopping!
Peace.

Good morning friends!  Welcome to Day 10 of the 31 Days of Halloween!  You should have arrived here from Shoni's blog - if you need to go back and start at the beginning, the blog roll is posted over here on my sidebar-------------------------------->

So my first project is for the:

I was on a Halloween roll but wanted to do something different from my usual witches - so I went with this adorable little pumpkin from Tiddly Inks.  He's colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits with some Stickles added in.  I added some rickrack, buttons, and a sticker from SRM Stickers.

And my next project is for the:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Use a Rubber or Clear Stamp

For this one, I used KK0038 Witch on Pumpkin (rubber stamp) and D039 Spiderweb Gate Die from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I absolutely adore this Spiderweb Gate - isn't it awesome??  I attached it with foam dimensional dots, and unfortunately it looks so much better in real life.  But this will have to do.  :)

Stamp and Create: Halloween

My sweet image is called "Witchy Prue" and she's from By Lori Designs.  I've colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and used some papers from Bazzill Basics.  I added Stickles, some ribbon tags, black pearls, and a die-cut spider (from My Favorite Things).
Your next stop on the hop is DominoART.  Have fun hopping!
Peace.
